We continue with the whole summer vibe, and for those who are already wearing wedges, sandals and such it’s time to talk about what we can do at home to take care of our feet without going to a salon for a pedicure.
- Soak Your Feet:
In a container pour some warm water with either lemon juice or sea water (the water should cover your ankles), let your feet rest there for about 20 minutes and then dry them while giving them a nice massage. For this you can also add some pebbles and that will also massage your feet.
- Trim Your Nails:
For this you need to be very careful, you don’t wanna hurt yourself. Also remember not to cut the corners too much, this way we’ll avoid any ingrown nails. I found a video that explains how to properly cut your toenails, I’ll leave it right here, hope you find it useful.
- Don’t Forget To Exfoliate:
Just as every other part in our body exfoliation is a key element for keeping our feet smooth. During this part we can also take care of our cuticle, for this we’ll just need some cuticle cream, as for the exfoliating part we need a pumice stone to get rid of the dead cells or a homemade scrub; this scrub is one of my favorites… we just need coconut oil and sea salt, then, in a cup of salt just pour 1/2 of coconut oil and that’s it, pour it in a jar and mix it.
After having done all of this, the last step would be to apply your favorite moisturizer on your feet and ankles.
