As you may recall not so long ago I did a Drugstore Haul entry where I mentioned the Maybelline Super Stay and the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant nail polish well, I tried them both for five straight days to compare their promises and the length of their stay.
*For both of the nail polish I only used two layer and no base or top coat. The shade for the Maybelline one is the Pink in the Park and the CoverGirl one is the Constant Caribbean.
I applied the product and let it dry for about 20 minutes, after that I decided to let my hands rest a bit more since my luck with nail polishes is not the best. Once I was completely sure both nail polishes were dried I just went on my with daily routine. And it ended just fine, no changes.
The next morning I decided to give my hands some tough love and I did some cleaning…that included doing the dishes, moping the floor among some other activities. I did this without any gloves, just to test them out and the results really surprised me, the Maybelline Super Stay nail polish remained harmless as for the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant nail polish it did crack a little bit.
After having the nail polish for three days the Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant became a bit more cracked; as for the Maybelline Super Stay no matter what I did, the nail polish stayed as if it had been recently applied.
Nothing changed that much, the Maybelline nail polish really amazed me because for four straight days nothing happened to it. The Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant did cracked but not as much as one would assume, I mean it could easily be fixed with an extra layer to hide the cracked parts.
Our winner…Maybelline Super Stay!! It lasted the whole five days with just one tiny micro crack, it also dries super fast and the colors are quite nice also de broach is a bit thicker making it easier and faster to apply.
BTW…sorry I’m lacking the ability of doing my nails properly, hope this help.
